Elizabeth M E Benjamin produces scripted and non scripted films with bold subjects, social issues and new formats: feature films, artist moving image, shorts, TV, social media content, extras, BTS and EPKs.
She cut her teeth as associate producer on the feature documentary, ‘Sisters with Transistors‘ (2020) – a new history of women in electronic music – directed by Lisa Rovner, released by Metrograph (in USA)/Modern Films (UK). ***** The Guardian / called “Bewitching” by the New York Times.
Other highlights include: Leviathan Cycle, a 10 part international series around climate change, mental health and migration, directed by artist filmmaker Shezad Dawood (2017 – 2026)/ Georgina Starr‘s Jarman Award nominated, Quarantaine (2020) and Georgina Starr’s live art performance ‘Gelato’ for Hermès SS22 collection.
She has over 20 years experience in PR and has worked for both UK and international distributors, producers, film festivals and PR companies from BFI and Studio Canal to Netflix, Pulse Films and Warner Brothers, and on films including Oscar winner Citizenfour and BAFTA winner This is England among many others.
Elizabeth is a PR consultant and a sessional tutor in film production and is available for educational talks or help with writing grants and film proposals; She has also been a Grierson Mentor.
